Task 1 (Cambridge 15 Test 3 IELTS Writing)

The diagram describes the production process of instant noodles.
Overall, eight steps need conducting to produce this kind of fast food, commencing with flour storage and ending with labeling and sealing complete products.

At the first stage, storage silos are designed to contain flour – the fundamental material to manufacture instant noodles. Next, the stored flour together with water and oil is put into a mixer to create a mixture. Then, this mixture is transformed into dough sheets. By means of rollers, these dough sheets pass through a machine to convert into dough strips at the fourth stage. 

After that, the dough strips are cut into noodles discs in a preparation for the cooking and drying stage. At this stage, oil is used to cook and dry noodle discs at opportune temperature. The following step witnesses the presence of vegetables and spices as an addition to products’ flavor. All of them are placed into separate cups before labeling and sealing are conducted to finish the manufacturing process. (167 words)

Câu hỏi : Some people say that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things. Other people think that advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. 
Mở Bài

It is undeniable that people have been familiar with advertisements – an inevitable part of the marketing strategy of most companies. Some people believe that advertising plays an important role in persuading customers to purchase products whereas others suppose that this method is not attractive anymore. While admitting to the boring reality of advertisements these days, I still find the former view reasonable.

Thân Bài 1

On the one hand, it would appear that advertisements are omnipresent in our lives in a variety of forms. In an effort to grab their customers’ attention to their goods and services, companies usually make use of adverts like posters, video clips, or articles. To a certain extent, we seem to be obsessed with information appearing ad infinitum with a large amount. As a consequence, some people even avoid such annoying advertisements when they watch television or read newspapers. Besides, the attention to advertising is reduced due to the lack of creativity. Some advertisers imitate deliberately their rivals’ ideas without noticeable distinction.

Thân Bài 2

However, we could not overlook the success of advertising in encouraging us to purchase products. The demand for accessing information concerning goods is highly increasing, especially when the issue of product quality or origin has come to the fore recent days. With the support of advertising, consumers can weigh up the pros and cons of products or services before making a final decision. Moreover, it would be an omission if we do not mention technologies as a means of support for this marketing campaign. In doing so, companies can create striking, unique, informative adverts and then announce to a large number of customers via mass media.
