Task 1 (Cambridge 15 Test 2 IELTS Writing)
Câu hỏi : The graph below shows the number of tourists visiting a particular Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The number of tourists choosing to stay on cruise ships started with just about 0.25 million people before rising slightly to 0.5 in 2011 and decreasing to 0.25 million tourists again in 2012. However, this figure experienced a gradual increase from 0.25 in 2012 to 1.5 million visitors in four years later, and then reached a peak at 2 million visitors in 2017. Meanwhile, the number of travelers opting to stay on the island commenced with approximately 0.75 million visitors in 2010 and stayed unchangeable in the following year. Between 2011 and 2013 witnessed a slight improvement when the figure went up to 1.5 million people in 2013 prior to staying static until 2015. Although there was a negligible decrease to 1.25 million in 2016, the number returned to the previous value in 2017.
The number of tourists in total began with 1 million people in 2010 before increasing rapidly to 2.5 million people in 2014. Despite an insignificant rise to 2.75 million which stayed unchangeable in 2016, the figure reached a peak at 3.5 million visitors in 2017. (231 words)
Task 2 (Cambridge 15 Test 2 IELTS Writing)
Câu hỏi : In the future, nobody will buy printed books or newspapers because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying?
It is undeniable that the presence of the Internet has constituted a tough challenge to printed newspapers and books. However, I do not subscribe to the statement that no one will purchase traditional newspapers or books because they can access everything to read online for free.
Thân Bài 1
On the one hand, it is difficult to imagine that people would not buy newspapers or books in printed versions anymore in the future. Many book lovers have taste in enjoying their reading habits with traditional books. As for them, nothing can beat the smell of books, especially bookworms. Also, there is no guarantee that all books or newspapers have alternative versions on the Internet. In this case, readers have to choose the orthodox reading habits to enjoy their real-page turners.
Thân Bài 2
On the other hand, it is impossible to read everything online in a complimentary way. There is a highly increasing concern among people, works’ authors in particular, about the matter of copyright. Readers must purchase certain e-books or online documents as the way they do with their printed versions. This means they must pay for them because, in doing so, they show respect to writers. The high incidence of infringement of copyright might be ascribed mainly to reading or downloading e-books for free. Besides, online sellers, as well as, website managers definitely need money to cover their overheads.
