Task 1 (Cambridge 15 Test 1 IELTS Writing)
Câu hỏi : The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Ingeneral, the majority of surveyed people would rather enjoy these kinds of beverages at a coffee shop than buy them. Especially, residents in Melbourne were reported as being the most regular customers of coffee shops.
It is clear that the percentage of people going to a cafe in Melbourne for coffee and tea accounted for nearly 65% in comparison to about 63% and 61% of those doing that in Hobart and Sydney, respectively. Meanwhile, just over 55% and just under 50% of Brisbane and Adelaide’s residents chose this option for their drinking habit, sequentially.
By way of contrast, purchasing fresh and instant coffee was not the people’s preference residing in these five cities. The number of customers buying fresh coffee in Brisbane and Adelaide occupied the minority, with just under 35%. The figures for Hobart, Melbourne, and Sydney were higher than those, with about 34%, 42.5%, and 44% respectively. Simultaneously, in Hobart and Brisbane, nearly 55% and 53% of people opting for buying instant coffee compared to 50%, 49%, and just over 45% of residents in Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney respectively. Task 2 (Cambridge 15 Test 1 IELTS Writing)
Câu hỏi : In some countries, owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people. Why might this be the case? Do you think this is a positive or negative situation?
There is a common trend that many people in some countries prefer purchasing to renting a house. There are several reasons for this phenomenon, and in my viewpoint, this exerts some positive effects.
Thân Bài 1
On the one hand, people pay more attention to owning a house for settlement and comfort. Indeed, they do not know what life holds in store for them in the future, so owning a home in a long term appears safer than renting accommodation on a temporary basis. They can have settlement to concentrate on their work and family. Also, the sense of comfort when being a house owner plays an important part in urban life. If it were the case that people rent a house, they would concern about many issues related to monthly utility fees, house modification, and their landlord. They might have difficulty coping with financial burdens and having a good relationship with their house’s owner.
Thân Bài 2
On the other hand, it would appear that owning a home is beneficial to both countries and their citizens. First, with the reason mentioned above in terms of owning a house, people may devote their resources to other businesses. In doing so ,they can invest money and time in the future of their children and their career path rather than getting stuck in the aforementioned problems. Second, more people owning houses indicate that a good signal for the health of the economy in general. The evidence is clear that they have a decent quality of life and financial conditions to own instead of renting houses.
