Task 1 (Barron’s IELTS Writing Test 1 )
Câu hỏi : The diagram below explains the process of making wood pellets, used to heat buildings. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

At the onset of this process, sawdust is delivered to the production site from the sawmill before hammered into fibers of uniform length, which is implemented in a hammer mill. Next, fibers are forced by means of holes contained in a pellet machine to transform themselves into pellets after they are dampened with steam.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Mở Bài
It is argued that everyone needs to have the right to enroll in courses of study at universities whether their level of academic ability is suitable for them or not. In my opinion, there are absolutely convinced reasons to subscribe to this view.
Thân Bài 1
On the one hand, it is clear that the university curriculum is designed predominantly for learners with a high level of academic ability. Most of them are graduates from high schools in which they have furnished themselves with necessary theoretical knowledge in fundamental fields such as Mathematics, Physics, Technology. Having sufficient command of those helps students qualify for reaching a higher level of education at universities. Besides, there is an intimate connection between the hands-on knowledge at universities and learners’ cognitive ability. For example, students can have difficulties conducting surveys for their assignment if they are bereft of knowledge in terms of the statistics, probability they absorb at high schools.
Thân Bài 2
On the other hand, some risks related to students’ study performance and job opportunity might arise once their academic learning skill is incommensurate with the level of higher education. First, they are likely to fall behind with their studies because of their poor performance at universities. Rather than passing exams with flying colors, they might fail or even retake them. Also, in the eyes of many recruiters, a good bachelor ‘s degree is an inevitable part of a qualified applicant. Therefore, the higher their ability of academic learning is, the more easily they may have degrees to land decent jobs after graduation.

For the aforementioned reasons, it seems to me that everybody had better not be allowed to attend university without a commensurate level of academic ability. (278 words)
